The Future of Urban Cycling
What is the future of urban cycling? This is the intriguing question that Dr. Peter Cox from Chester University will explore on Tuesday 2nd November at 7pm in the Greenhouse on St. Andrew’s Street in Dublin. Dr. Cox has a wealth of experience in the areas of social change, sustainability, and the history of cycling technologies, and the event is sure to attract cycling advocates, academics, transport and planning professionals and members of the general public.
The presentation by Dr. Cox will provide a broad historical and comparative overview of the development of cycling in the UK and globally. He will comment on the range of initiatives available and suggests what might be best to safeguard and support cycling in contrasting contexts.
